1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using Expencio, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Expencio is an expense-sharing and personal expense tracking application. It allows users to create groups, split expenses among group members, track personal daily expenses, settle debts, and generate monthly reports.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to register an account.
• You must verify your email via the 6-digit OTP code sent during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must not create multiple accounts or share your login credentials with others.
• You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.

4. User Responsibilities

• You agree to provide accurate and truthful information about expenses and settlements.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of expense data you enter.
• You must not use the app for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorised purpose.
• You must not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the proper working of the application.
• You must not upload or transmit any malicious code, spam, or harmful content.

5. Expense & Settlement Data

Expencio provides tools to track and calculate shared expenses. All calculations, balances, and settlement suggestions are for informational purposes only. The actual settlement of debts between users is the sole responsibility of the parties involved. We do not process, hold, or guarantee any financial transactions between users.

6. Privacy & Data

We collect and store your name, email address, and expense data solely to provide the service. Your data is stored securely and is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support at support@expencio.in.

7. Premium Features

Certain advanced features — such as on-demand PDF report exports and historical report generation — require a premium subscription. Payment processing is handled through secure third-party payment gateways. Refund policies are communicated at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to change premium pricing with reasonable notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

Expencio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any financial disputes between users, data loss due to unforeseen circumstances, service interruptions, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service. Your use of Expencio is at your own risk.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, are used for fraudulent purposes, or remain inactive for an extended period without notice. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our data retention policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our service or applicable laws. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notification at least 7 days before they take effect.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
